11 Boot Camp Marketing Spokes On A Wheel

Think of boot camp marketing strategies like little spokes on a wheel all going to the hub (your boot camp)

The goal is to have dozens of "spokes" constantly funneling clients into your boot camp.

And just like a wheel isn't stable with just a few spokes, your boot camp isn't stable with just a few marketing tactics.

Why do you need so many boot camp marketing "spokes" dripping clients into your boot camp, as apposed to just on or two?

Because Google may decide (even though it's not true) that you're doing something shady, and Google slap your website to the 90th page.

(I've seen this happen and it SUCKS!)

Or craigslist can get saturated, and not produce clients anymore.

Or the tanning salon that refers you dozens of clients may close or sell or decide to refer to their family friend who happens to be a personal trainer.

Ya get the picture?

So to avoid this from happening, and to jam pack your boot camp with eager new clients, I've made you a list 11 of my favorite boot camp marketing "spokes" on a wheel.

1) Facebook Ads - You can laser target cities, genders, interests, age and much more.  And Facebook ads are way LESS expensive and way MORE targeted then PPC on Google, Yahoo and Bing.

2) Plastic Gift Referrals Cards - These are 100x's better than fliers.  Hand your plastic gift cards to your boot campers and see why these are the ultimate referral tools.

3) CraigsList - Even if you just get 1 or 2 clients every 30 days from Craigslist, it's worth it.  It's just another "spoke" on your boot camp marketing wheel, and it's FREE.

4) Sales Website - Our Fit Body Boot Camp owners have optimized high conversion websites that add clients to their rosters, even in their sleep.  It rocks to have a badass website.

5) Pay-Per-Click advertising - You don't want to just be on the first page of Google for your key words, you want to DOMINATE the first page.  PPC is another awesome "spoke" for that.  Btw, you can do PPC marketing on yahoo and Bing for a fraction of the cost of Google.

6) Post Card Ad In Target Businesses - Placing high conversion post cards in business like tanning salons, hair salons, and laser cosmetic spas can add another client getting "spoke" to your marketing wheel.

Tip:  Offer the owner or manager $100 bucks for ever sign up you get from the post cards in their facility.  Ask if they're open to trying it for 30 days, and then evaluate after that.

7) Hair Dresser Marketing - Train popular hair dressers for free or at a deep discount in exchange for displaying your ads on their work stations.

8) Lead Boxes - Placing lead boxes in business like tanning salons, hair salons, healthy restaurants, Juice places, and laser cosmetic spas can help to quickly build your list of local prospects.

And just like with the post cards, Offer the owner or manager $100 bucks for ever sign up you get from the lead boxes in their facility.  Ask if their open to trying it for 30 days, and then evaluate after that.

9) Outside Trainers - Find trainers and boot camp instructors in near by cities, and ask them if they would agree to split the revenue 50/50 of anyone that you directly refer. If they say yes, then market for clients in their area.  After a while, you can generate some pretty nice revenue streams from dozens of outside boot camps.

10) Email marketing - You should be have three separate email campaigns going at all times.  Emails that encourage current clients to refer friends.  Emails that motivate prospects to join your program.  And finally, emails that persuade past clients to come back.

11) Referral contests - Every 60 days you should run a referral contest.  My favorite is what I call the "Charity Drive referral Contest."  It's when you pledge to raise a certain amount of money for a local charity by donating $100 for every new sign up over the next 30 days to the charity.  Use this "cause" as leverage for your clients to refer their friends.

Be sure to print this list out and tack it above your desk so you can make sure your boot camp marketing wheel is rolling on all spokes.

And leave a comment your thoughts, and any marketing strategies that you would like to add to your marketing wheel... I do my best to respond to EVERY one of them 🙂
