Boot Camp Marketing

Boot Camp Marketing “Buy or DIE” Style

Posted by on February 9, 2010 at 4:25 am

There's one part of boot camp marketing that seems to be getting over looked WAY too much.

It's SELLING!

You see, getting leads is just one part of boot camp marketing.  The other part is SELLING.

And when I say selling, I'm talking about "Buy or DIE" style.

Here's how buy or die works...

You FOLLOW UP with a lead until they either BUY, or ask you to stop contacting them (DIE).

Here are 5 methods to get leads to "Buy or DIE"

1.  By Email - Having a pre-made email auto responder system is  a great way to follow up with leads

And the best part is that you only have to create the emails once, then as leads are entered into your "lead system", the follow up happens on auto-pilot.

2.  By Phone - As soon as a prospect tries out your boot camp or submits their phone number on your website, set up a phone follow up schedule.

I make the majority of my follow up calls in the first 10 days because that is when a prospect is the "hottest"

After 10 days, I call once a week for 30 days, then once a month after that.

5 Fitness Marketing Things You Must Do Every Month

Hey - Steve here with a very special guest post from my friend Craig Ballantyne.

It blows my mind how Craig continually gets MASSIVE amounts of STUFF DONE as he continues to grow his fitness empire!

Craig was cool enough to share 5 of his top fitness marketing secrets you must do every month to explode your business this year.

So without further ado... Here's Craig.

picture-10Everyday I get up and start my day with a 60 minute dog walk here in Toronto. When I get home, I start work by reviewing 6 different secret documents that guide me, inspire me, and motivate me to keep pushing, and keep churning out the content, workouts, blog posts, and help for my clients.

One of those documents is a list of "10 things you must do every month" from one of Dan Kennedy's "No BS" business books. Each day I review one of the 10 and see how it can guide me on an email I'm writing, a product I'm creating, or even just how it can give me a kick in the butt to finish a project.

So what I've done for you is taken 5 of the 10 and applied them to your boot camp marketing. Review one of these everyday - Monday to Friday - and it will give you insanely effective ideas for getting more campers and keeping them happy.

2 Holiday Fitness Marketing Tips

Posted by on December 8, 2009 at 3:18 am

picture-19Here are two killer fitness marketing strategies to do around the holiday season (as in right now)

I go way into depth with Fit Body Boot Camp Members, but you can put these into action right away.

Ya see, most fitness professionals wait until the first of the year, and then offer a new years "special" promo.

So here's how to get jump start on the fitness marketing frenzy.

Offer a 21 day rapid fat loss challenge for just $97 bucks.

Here's why this is so cool:
1.  At $97 bucks, there is a very low cost barrier to entry.

2.  At just 21 days, it requires very little commitment.

3.  And most importantly, if you start it now, it will carry on THROUGH January 1st... Neutralizing your competition.

I also recommend that ya do an up-sell where you offer an additional 7 days for free, making it a 28 day program, if they agree to sign up and continue on your monthly program after the 28 days is up.

The other tip is to handout $100 plastic gift cards to your clients to use as holiday gifts for their friends.

Explain to your clients that you want to help them save mucho holiday shopping de nero' by giving away your gift cards as presents.

picture-22_transThat's an awesome way to get a TON of new referrals.

But WAAAY more important than fitness marketing, remember to love your family, because that's by far what really matters most!

Ok, have an AMAZING day!!

Steve :))

A Very Important Fitness Marketing Question

Posted by on November 19, 2009 at 9:40 am

picture-221Hey Steve here with a very special guest post from my Aussie bud Adam Toohey Oye! Oye! Oye!

Adam owns a Fit Body Boot Camp in Toronto and is a NLP voodoo master.

And in case you're wondering what NLP is, it's a system for using language patterns to "control" people's minds.

Pretty cool stuff.

But don't worry, I personally know that Adam only uses his "powers" for the good of mankind.

So, being a total giver, Adam decided to do a fitness marketing guess post on NLP and fitness marketing.

So without further ado...

Heeeeeeere's Adam!

Adam here, and I have a REALLY Important Question for you...

The Power of Questions is a topic that is frequently discussed in the areas of NLP, NAC and many other areas of discipline/therapy. As a Bootcamp instructor you are always asking your clients questions before they dive into your program...

These might include...picture-25

-        What is your past Bootcamp/gym experience?

-        Do you have any prior injuries or medical conditions?

-        What specific goals do you have?

-        What else do you want to achieve with Fit Body Bootcamp?

-        Who referred you to this Bootcamp?

You get the idea...

We ask them these questions in order to get a little more of an understanding of their world and what we might expect from them within the confines of our camp.

But I have a question for you... (And it's not the REALLY Important one... yet)

Are your questions REALLY helping you to totally understand your clients' world?

Let's be honest... the PARQs and Consultation Forms that most BIG GYMS give to their clients SUCK!

AND THEY ARE BOOOOOORRRRRING!

Most of them provide nothing more than a brief background of your potential/new client and really never get to the core of who they are and what they value.

Now hear this... The quality of your questioning IS the quality of your communication. The quality of your questions will determine how soon you form an inseparable bond between yourself and your client.

And when you understand what's REALLY going on with your client they will stay with you FOREVER and you will be drowning in referrals. (A good problem to have)

Hey - Steve here just back from Orlaaaaaando Florida.

We (Me, Bedros, McCombs, Ballantyne, and Delmonte) just completed teaching our first 100k Group Mastermind.

That's where we take 34 fitness professionals, and lead them stet-by-step to building their very own hundred thousand dollar a year information product.

We had SUCH A BLAST... The ENERGY in this group was AMAZING!

Can you imagine... in the next 12 months, 34 fitness professionals will will make an ADDITIONAL $100k income stream by helping thousands of others with their info products.

For example, "mean" Jannine Murray who is a top personal trainer in Victoria BC will have an info product coming out that is going help women all over the world have the perfect bootie...

And I feel like by helping Jannine, to help make better booties world wide, I'm actually helping create WORLD PEACE.

...What? I do! LOL

One of the coolest parts for me, was to watch my little brother David Tendrich gave a smash hit presentation on how to write money sucking sales copy.

picture-171But ya want to hear something funny/cute...

David and his girlfriend Lou Lou, crashed in my hotel room Friday night.

And ya know how it's usually the guy who spoons the girl...

Well, when I woke up, I looked over and Lou Lou was sleeping behind my bro, holding him, with her arm and leg draped over him.

He looked so sweet in Lou Lou's arms...

Like a little baby gazelle being help by a lion.

And I had a little moment LOL...

But here's what I want you to check out...

My brother just did a KILLER fitness marketing guest post on how to do a super genius Thanksgiving promo
