Posted by on August 6, 2012 at 11:38 am

I’ve heard a lot of people say recently that e-mail marketing is dead, and can only come to the conclusion that these people are running campaigns pushing male enhancement products and  alike,  because personal training e-mail marketing has never been better!

Why you’re already a six-figure copywriter… but you just don’t know it

Posted by on February 16, 2010 at 12:02 pm

Here is another awesome guest post from my favorite brother David Tendrich.

Take it away David!

Copywriting is pretty friggin cool.

I mean, where else can you type up a few words, send’em out to the world, and make thousands of dollars, instantly?

Not too many places (I mean, unless you’re an author or something).

Do you write copy?

If not, why not!?

Don’t you see how cool it is? If you already do write your own copy, then skip this next part, but if you don’t, then…

Place a mental checkmark next to any of these ideas below that are holding you back from writing your own copy…

  • I’m not a good writer
  • It’s way too difficult
  • You need to know crazy psychological tactics to get people to buy
  • I just don’t know where to start
  • I don’t have the time
  • Ninjas cut off my finger tips so I can’t type
Unless you placed a mental checkmark next to the last idea there, you ALREADY ARE a killer copywriter… you just don’t know it…

Let me explain…

Have you ever sold someone your training or boot camp in person?

Hey - Steve here just back from Orlaaaaaando Florida.

We (Me, Bedros, McCombs, Ballantyne, and Delmonte) just completed teaching our first 100k Group Mastermind.

That's where we take 34 fitness professionals, and lead them stet-by-step to building their very own hundred thousand dollar a year information product.

We had SUCH A BLAST... The ENERGY in this group was AMAZING!

Can you imagine... in the next 12 months, 34 fitness professionals will will make an ADDITIONAL $100k income stream by helping thousands of others with their info products.

For example, "mean" Jannine Murray who is a top personal trainer in Victoria BC will have an info product coming out that is going help women all over the world have the perfect bootie...

And I feel like by helping Jannine, to help make better booties world wide, I'm actually helping create WORLD PEACE.

...What? I do! LOL

One of the coolest parts for me, was to watch my little brother David Tendrich gave a smash hit presentation on how to write money sucking sales copy.

picture-171But ya want to hear something funny/cute...

David and his girlfriend Lou Lou, crashed in my hotel room Friday night.

And ya know how it's usually the guy who spoons the girl...

Well, when I woke up, I looked over and Lou Lou was sleeping behind my bro, holding him, with her arm and leg draped over him.

He looked so sweet in Lou Lou's arms...

Like a little baby gazelle being help by a lion.

And I had a little moment LOL...

But here's what I want you to check out...

My brother just did a KILLER fitness marketing guest post on how to do a super genius Thanksgiving promo

The 2 Biggest Solutions to the 1,000 Biggest Mistakes People Make in Copywriting

Posted by on June 12, 2009 at 8:41 pm

Guest post by David Tendrich (My little bro)

But before you read this AMAZING post and instantly become a better "cash pulling" sales copy writer...Check out this footage of what happened when the Hochman's and the Keuilian's went to San Diego

p41-2

Now read this...

p41-1Nope, no typo in the title....

These truly are 2 solutions to 1, 000 mistakes. Actually, it's probably way more mistakes than that, because people make these mistakes so many times throughout one individual website that when you add'em all up, it's probably closer to like . . . 1, 005.

And it's these 2 solutions that determine if all of the copy you're writing from the first word you put down is going to be on the right track, or on, well, the only other option, the wrong track?

p41-31. The most important thing in copywriting...

Here are the most important things you need in copywriting:

  • A brain. Preferably a human brain.
  • I'm not really sure where I'm going with this. I don't really have a list of 3 things
  • I might be out of my mind

I'm almost certain that the most important thing in copywriting is being able to "Connect to whoever is reading what you wrote". And what's the best way to do that?

p41-4I find it's to talk to your audience....

This sounds simple, but it's so powerful. The key word there is "talk." Pretend you're actually talking to your audience!

If you were in a face-to-face conversation, what would you say to sell your business?

Here's a simple exercise...

Insane Interview With The #1 Fitness Business And Marketing Authority In The Friggin World… Bedros Keuilian!

Posted by on March 15, 2009 at 8:25 pm

p17-1Holy Shit!

This was one totally INSANE interview with the undisputed king fitness business, Bedros Keuilian!

Bedros happens to be one of my best buds in the whole world, in-fact, we even go on man-dates together once a month. (but that's a whole nother story)

You seriously don't want to miss one word of this interview as I grill the HELL-OUT-A Bedros to find out just what makes this dude tick.

I mean it, don't even blink during this interview cuz it's JAM-PACKED with Business GOLD!

p17-2How he went from homeless to millionaire (technically not homeless cuz he lived in his 1979 pickup)

Why it's powerful to think like an information provider

What Bedros does right before he goes to bed (It has to do with something  hard)

The right way to extract money

What The Hell Is… Project X

Posted by on March 6, 2009 at 6:10 pm

p14-1

I've been literally getting 15-20 emails a day asking me two questions.

  1. When am I gonna come out with PROJECT X?
  2. What the hell is PROJECT X?

But what's funny is, besides going back and forth with Bedros on Twitter about how PROJECT X will dominate - This is the first time I have ever OFFICIALLY leaked anything out about it.

First, let me tell you WHY I created PROJECT X.

p14-2Here's what happened...

By now, you may have heard Internet marketing superstar Chris McCombs referring to me as the "GURU" OF GROUP TRAINING -

Hell, he'll even tell you that I was the guy that taught HIM how to do it right, when he was a trainer at my fitness studio.

And I'll tell you straight up, It felt damn good pulling in 250k a year while group training a measly 18 hours a week.

That is, until I accidentally stumbled upon PROJECT X.

But just for the record, it wasn't all me.

Bedros Keuilian had A LOT TO DO WITH IT!!!!

Don't get me wrong though, before I teamed up with Bedros, PROJECT X was already a monster money-making machine - Bedros just put wings, after-burners and sidewinder missiles on it...

He made it super-sonic $$

Crappy Resume = Crappy Fitness Marketing

Posted by on February 22, 2009 at 1:55 pm

p7_1I just picked up a resume that some trainer left for me.  A resume is no different then any other marketing piece - It's designed to sell... YOU!

But here's the problem with this trainer, and so many others... He has NO CLUE about marketing. And what's worse, he probably thinks he's a marketing BAD ASS and it's the economy not his CRAPPY marketing causing his fitness business to take a nosedive.

How My Human Billboard Fitness Marketing Strategy Made One Trainer $3,315 In 4 Days

Posted by on February 18, 2009 at 3:34 pm

hbb1Last week one of my favorite trainers (Who is smoking hot!!!) sent me a pretty crazy text.

Here is what it said.

"Hey Steve, here's the real deal. My boyfriend and I broke up a week ago and I moved out. I've been living out of my car and staying with friends all over Orange County and it's really starting to suck. I need to blow up my business HUGE in the next 3-6 weeks cuz if I don't by then, I'll have run out of places to stay. Can I do this and will you help me?"

So I did what anyone in my position would have done... I told her she can stay with me (Kidding)

I said I would help her create a what I call a "Human Billboard" lead generating email.

hbb2Now, for an email to be a lead magnet it has to have what I call the big 3:

1. An attention grabbing subject line. If your subject line looks spamy or boring, it won't get opened.

2. A compelling story. This is critical because it gets your prospects defenses down and softens them up for your pitch. If you don't give your prospect a darn good reason for your special offer, then they will be skeptical.

3. A clear CALL TO ACTION. You gotta tell them exactly what to do, how to do it, and what they will miss out on if they don't do it right away.

I cut and pasted the exact email that pulled $3,315 in 4 days below.

See if you can figure out why it worked so well...
