Personal Trainer Marketing - Domination Mindset Secrets (MUST SEE)

Hey, this is Steve Hochman. And before I talk about the number one thing that you could do right now to blow up your business, like the thing that most people don't even talk about and the thing most people don't even know and the thing that most people are doing totally wrong. Before I get into that, on my last blog post when I was talking about how to have crazy-long client retention, because when I use to train clients, I would have clients stay with me for five years, nine years, all the way from the beginning to the end.

I trained people for nine years, and I've had people from one day stay with me, some of them even became trainers for me. And I had to chance to interview three of my old past personal training clients and they told me what it was that kept them with me for so long. And I did that on the previous post.

But a couple of you guys asked me if I would -- you know, one of the things that I did was that I called my client every single Sunday. One of the personal trainer marketing tip I always did was give them a pump up message, and honestly, I didn't know that I was the only trainer doing that. I actually figured that every trainer probably did this. It wasn't until years later that I found out that I was the only one. And one of the greatest things you could do is call your client on Sunday and pump them up for the next week. Sometimes you'll get a message from them and sometimes you won't.

But it lets them know that you really care. Do not make the mistake of making this some prerecorded broadcast that goes out to everybody. It has to be personal. So a couple of people asked me for advice. So what I do -- so I'm just going to re-enact one, and here we go. I'm a little rusty; it's been a little while. So here's how I do it.

"Hey, what's up, Bryan? Listen, dude, this is Steve Hochman, and I just wanted to tell you that first of all, it's Sunday, which means we're about to start the greatest week of our life next week. Because next week is going to be breakthrough week, which means you're going to have an amazing breakthrough in your personal training. With this personal trainer marketing tip You're going to be like, "Oh my god!" Your clothes are going to fit different. Your body is going to feel different. Heck, you might even get a girlfriend. So check this out. Next week it's on. And I'm going to bed right now. And you know why? Because if I go to bed that means tomorrow will come faster. And because you're my very favorite client that means I get to see you sooner. Dude, you are the man. And I can't wait to see you tomorrow. Have an awesome night. Later."

So that will be an example of the type of call that I would give. So when you do give a call, make sure it's not like, "Hey, I just wanted to say that next week” -- you've got to come up. You've got to be funny. You've got to be cool. You actually have to make them feel like "I can't wait to see what he's going to say next," "What kind of message am I going to get this week?" So anyway, that's that.

Now, on to the one thing that is -- all right. Let me put it to you this way. There's something that I do, and that most, if not all, of the most successful entrepreneurs and fitness professionals in the industry do. And it's something that a lot of people don't do.

It's something that almost nobody talks about, and it's something that a lot people do completely wrong, and it really has to do with mindset. You know I don't know why I've been able to have this success that I've have. I mean, I do know why and I don't know why. Meaning this: there is a lot of people around me that are smarter than me. I guarantee you if we had a straight-out knowledge -- like academic test, they would blow me away. And that's fine, because you know what? I have people like that that are smarter than me working for me to make me money, which is the way I like it.

But one of the personal trainer marketing strategy that separates me and my super-successful friends with people that wish they were successful or want to be successful but just can't seem to make quantum leaps of progress, and every year, they're kind of in the same situation -- is mindset.

And here's the one thing that people do wrong. The one thing they want success. Let me explain what I'm talking about in a second.

What they'll do is they'll say, "God, I really want to 100 clients, or I really want to make six figures, or I really want to have a business that works for itself or I really want -- oh, I want it so bad, I can just feel it. I want it, I want it."

Now, the problem with "want" is wanting is lacking of something. So if I want something, then I'm focusing on the lack of me not having it. And the way your brain works, and I'm just going to give you an $18,000 lesson because I hired John Assaraf, who is one of the number one brain experts in entire world. He is on the movie "The Secret." He's written books. I mean, people fly in from all over the world to learn from this guy. I paid him $18,000 a long time ago, and I'll tell you what, that $18,000 quickly, in a couple months, came back to me in hundreds of thousands of dollars from what I learned from this guy.

It was the best investment I every made and I really suggest you invest in yourself and in people around you. But what he told me was what you think about you attract. And, yeah; like, duh. We've all the seen the movie "The Secret." But he explained why it works. You see, the brain -- one of the biggest reasons why people don't achieve what they want is because of fear. And let me put it this way: Imagine you could write down whatever you wanted and then have no fear and no doubt whatsoever that you could achieve it.

So you could literally just walk up to anyone, walk into any business, do whatever you want, call whoever you want, do whatever ever it is that your dream is without having an ounce of fear. How’s that for a personal trainer marketing tip? Well, imagine what you could accomplish, the way to do that; the way to make that happen is to visualize as if you already have what you want. So you stop wanting it and start thinking of it in terms that you already have it, and the reason why that works is that there's a part of your brain called the cybernetic mechanism that tries to keep you in homeostasis right where you're at.

Because back in caveman days, if we, got a little too crazy with our ideas of where we are going to go, we could end up dying, we could end up having no water, be eaten by a dinosaur, whatever. Well, we still have that same mechanism in the brain so we still have these crazy, irrational fears, and they're irrational now because we live in a world where you're not going to die by wanting to be successful. It's not like it was, you know, millions of years ago. So anyway, it's so important that you visualize as if you already have something.

Your brain, your subconscious can't tell the difference between having something -- I mean, between a thought and the emotional thought and reality. So if you visualize that you already have something then, as you're achieving it, your brain already thinks you have it, and you don't have any fear or doubt. And those are powerful emotions. I mean, fear and doubt are the biggest things that keep people from where they really want to be.

So here's a simple personal trainer marketing solution. Two minutes a day, okay? Once when you wake up, once when you go in the middle of the day, and once when you go to bed. All I want you to do is this: When you first wake up -- by the way, when you first wake up, your brainwaves are still in your alpha brainwaves, which means your brain is very, very susceptible for reprogramming and learning, which means what you visualize first thing in the morning when you first wake up gets into your brain deeper, faster.

So when you first wake up, hopefully you take a shower -- I know I do -- get into the shower, have your goals written down, either on a waterproof laminated piece of paper, or if you have a glass shower like me, tape them on the outside and just look at what they are as if you already achieved them.

If you want six figures, I have a six-figure business. If you want other trainers working for you, I have two other trainers working for me. And I could literally go on vacation, and I make hundreds of thousands when I'm in my sleep. I have clients calling me every day that want my training. I have a waiting list of people that just want my services. And just start -- as you're showering, you start getting excited about it. Like, yeah! I do have this. This is awesome. My life rocks. Dude, I have the car in the garage that I want, and it's waiting for me.

I'm living in that house, even if you're living in a little dinky apartment, imagine you're living in the house that you really want. So you're in the house that you want, everything is awesome and your car is downstairs, and you have the money in the bank, just everything. That's the vibration that you want your body to be at. Then go throughout your day. In the middle of your day, spend two minutes. Set your timer on your phone. So you take a couple of deep breathes, close your eyes, and with as much emotion as you can, visualize already having it one more time.
