Wow, I just got done with a killer leg workout at 24 Hour Fitness.
For me it's just convenient to workout there.
But MAN, it never fails...
Whenever I see a trainer looking like a zombie, just going through the motions being a human rep counter, it DRIVES ME FRIGGIN CRAZY!
CRAZY I SAY.
Back when I used to train clients, it would always embarrass me because I DID NOT want to be associates with those kind of trainers.
Not to mention, if you're gonna put in the time at least BRING THE FRIGGIN ENERGY and do it right.
And maybe, just maybe, they'll end up getting a ton of referrals...
And then MAKE MORE MONEY...
And then they may have an epiphany like, "Hmmm, if I keep getting a ton of referrals because I rock, then why the hell do I need to be an employee at a lame box gym and give them 65 to 75 percent of my income."
Then maybe.... Just maybe, they'll go off on their own as a sub-contractor an earn six-figures and not have to wear a dorky uniform.
But nooooo...
It's much better to be a "zombie trainer", ya, that's definitely the way to go.
And like I said, even after all these years, it still drives me NUTS.
I seriously feel like telling the trainer to step-a-side and saying, "THIS IS HOW IT'S DONE."
Ok, maybe I'm just a little mental, but I like to think it's PASSION!
So where an I going with all this?
Whether you're a "zombie trainer" or a high energy dominator, here is the proven formula to take your game to the next level.
I call it my A.P.E 2.0 Principal.
A.P.E. is an acronym for APPRECIATION, PURPOSE and ENTHUSIASM.
And when you use it, you will have perpetual energy, loyal raving clients, and more referrals than you know what to do with (Well you know what to do with them... Charge them, train them, and change their lives)
So here's how it goes.
APPRECIATION - One of the most powerful human desires is the desire to be appreciated.
Just think:
Your client's spouse may not appreciate them.
Their boss may not appreciate them.
Their kids may not appreciate them.
But YOU shower them with daily appreciation!
YOU feed them a steady diet of, "I APPRECIATE YOU", with a side of, "YOU ARE APPRECIATED."
They will cancel their cable TV, buy cheap clothes, use coupons to buy groceries or do whatever it takes to keep training with YOU.
So don't "give" your clients appreciation, "shower" them with it.
This alone will set you apart from the herd and build fierce client loyalty and lifetime retention.
PURPOSE - Now this may be the most important part because it will fill your veins with the rocket fuel necessary to dominate day after day, jump out of bed in the morning excited to go and have off the wall energy (without coffee).
So here's how it works...
If you get up each morning just to train clients, market, then train clients again, then go to bed, then do it all over again the next day... and the next, and the next...
Then OF COURSE you're gonna burn out and have that, "Is this day gonna over soon?" attitude.
So from now on, DO NOT WAKE UP TO TRAIN CLIENTS.
Instead wake up each morning to take the next logical and necessary step to achieving your LIFE'S DREAM.
But to do this, you have to KNOW your life's dream.
So sit down for a while and figure it out...
You see, when you give your clients the "energy" of your life's dream, you'll by far exceed their expectations and they'll love you for it...
And that will result it crazy amounts of REFERRALS.
Trust me on this, life is WAY more exciting when you are a meaningful specific and not a wandering generality.
ENTHUSIASM - It's simple, raise your enthusiasm and instantly become different (better) then 90% of trainers out their... You know, the zombies.
Enthusiasm is contagious.
And when you know your life's dream, and are taking steps to achieve it, you WILL be enthusiastic with you clients...
Why? Because it's friggin exciting.
And what your clients remember most is how you make them feel.
So when they feel your enthusiasm, they will enthusiastically talk about you to their friends.
And you guessed it, REFERRALS.
Floods of them.
And btw, referrals that come from enthusiastic clients are super easy sells.
So there you have it, the world's #1 big hairy fitness marketing strategy... A.P.E.
