Are You Dreaming Big Enough?

Heeeeey - Steve Hochman here, and I am SO GREATFUL that a dude like me (who was in special ed, funny looking, no college degree and severe A.D.D) can have a life where my wife will NEVER have to work and my kids will NEVER have to see the inside of a daycare center.

On that note, after spending the weekend with Leanne Ellington at Bedros's AWESOME 7 figure mastermind, she send me this guest post that really resonated with me.

Part of what makes her posts badassoliscious, is her "feel the fear" but do it anyways attitude - I've personally seen her do this.

Enjoy -

It's crazy how POWERFUL negative thoughts can be.

They can single-handedly make or break you-- whether it be in business, in your personal life, in your health and fitness goals - you name it. If you doubt yourself or act as your own personal naysayer, you better believe the outcome will also become a negative one.

This past weekend, I had the privilege of attending Bedros' 7-Figure Mastermind with some heavy-hitters (including the great Steven Hochmanbergstein himself).

You wouldn't know it, but just like everybody else in the world- business owners and non-business owners alike- we were a group of people with the same fears, frustrations, and insecurities as everyone else.

You wouldn't know it just by looking at everyone, but it's true. The only difference is the group's awesome ability to filter out the bad, focus on the great, and just drive forward.

One of my favorite inspirational quotes is:
"Reach for the sky because if you should happen to miss, you'll still be among the stars."

I personally always loved this quote, because it teaches us that if we dream big and have insanely massive goals, even if we miss the mark slightly, we are still friggen' rockstars. But it wasn't until this past weekend that I truly understood its value.

Being around such success-driven people for the entire weekend really showed me that if you have a dream and a goal, and you set your mind to it, you can achieve it no matter what. The only question is, are you dreaming big enough?

  • You think that the guy formerly know as "Skinny Vinny" knew that he would grow to have one of the most sought-after muscle building info products in the world or something equally as great?
  • You think that the ex pizza-delivering goofball we know as Steve Hochman knew he would grow to own his own fitness studio and launch his own friggen' boot camp franchise?

px

  • You think Sam Bakhtiar knew he would own multiple 7-figure studios in Southern California and grow into the nickname of "7-Figure Sam" overnight?
  • You think our favorite Orange County Renegade knew he would dominate the internet with his stealth tactics and keepin-it-real mantra- not to mention turn his passion into a documentary?
  • You think our college dropout Armenian friend Bedros knew he would grow to become one of the most sought-after business coaches in the world and dramatically change the lives of 1000's of others (and make a friggen' documentary)?
  • You think Craig Ballentine knew he would change the world of fat loss and literally instill a bit of turbulence into the way we train ourselves and our clients?
  • You think Josh Carter ever dreamed of owning his own fitness studio, info product, and having the leverage to never miss one of his son's birthday parties?

These guys may have had no idea about the particulars, specifics, and details of the hell they would accomplish all this.  But you know what they do all have in common?

THEY ALL DREAMED BIG... AND I MEAN REALLY BIG!

They all knew that they wanted freedom, achievement, and success, and they just went out there and made it happen.

300

They didn't make excuses for themselves. They didn't blame the economy or a bad string of luck. They didn't just sit back and watch as someone else take what was theirs. They heard 1000 "no's" and countless "you cant's", and THEY DID IT ANYWAY. It made them work even harder. They beat the pavement and took action. They failed 9 times and stood up 10. They got burned and became stronger. They were defeated and they pushed through. They kept their eye on the dream and didn't stop until they got there.  And you know what? They aren't stopping now either!

They dreamed, they achieved, they conquered, and now they are just dreaming bigger! They aren't complacent or apathetic. They are dreamers and doers and so are you!

Sometimes we have to sit back and really ask ourselves, are we dreaming big enough?

Take a moment and think long and hard:

Where are you?

Where do you want to be (i mean really want to be!)?

And what are you going to do to make sure that you get there?

More importantly, you are a dreamer! Whatever it is that you want, it's possible! Just go out there and get it! Don't be afraid to fail or get burned. It will make you stronger and more resilient.

So tomorrow when you get out of bed and get ready to start your day, stop and ask yourself, "AM I DREAMING BIG ENOUGH?"
