Boot Camp Marketing – Owner Interview – Part 2 of 4

Here is the second part of the interview about Boot Camp Marketing with owner Shawna Kaminski from Fit Body Boot Camp Calgary.

You can check the 1st part of the interview here.

Fernando:
And you've been a trainer and a fitness expert all your life pretty much? Is that all you've done?

Shawna:
Well, I was actually a school teacher for 20 years and during that time... like I was always athletic and into competitive sports. And because of that, I naturally was always in the gym and kind of went into training. Even when I was teaching school I was always doing some sort of training one-on-one and that sort of thing. And then in 2004 I started a small studio, and a fitness business in 2007, and a month after that I opened a boot camp, so I've been running boot camp since 2007. So I've been a trainer for a very long time.

Fernando:
And you can see the evolution of the boot camp business model throughout those years, right?

Shawna:
Oh my goodness, yes I've really streamlined. My workouts have become more effective... I'm getting better results for clients... all research-based workouts that really can get clients the most benefit... the most bang for their buck in the shortest amount of time. It's pretty exciting that my one-on-one training... initially... has evolved into this boot camp which I feel is much more effective than one-on-one training, and I enjoy the group training so much more anyway. So yes, there’s been a huge evolution. Our strategies for Boot Camp Marketing also evolved tremendously.

Bedros Keuilian Scam Claims: Review Of His Business Building Products

Hi, I'm Anna Gallahan and I'm a personal trainer at North West Fitness Center.

A few months ago I was looking for better strategies and techniques for attracting and retaining more cash-paying clients for my personal training business. I needed to learn the fundamentals of operating my own business.

Training is my passion but my marketing techniques left something to be desired.  I was just flying by the seat of my pants.

bedros_keuilian_scam_reviewA good friend referred me to Bedros Keuilian’s products and I thought this would make a good review for others.  I found his website and  Sadly, in researching more about Bedros, I found a very small but incredibly hurtful attacks to not only his business products but also to his person. Once I found that those Bedros Keuilian scam claims where completely unfounded my mind was at easy so I purchased the PT Business course (aka The Art of Selling Fitness) and System 9.

I was blown away at how my business grew by implementing the sales strategies and revamping my pricing structure as Bedros recommended on the business course. My sales strategy before PT Business Course and System 9… I had no plan of attack with prospects and felt like I was a pushy car salesman and had no idea how to handle objections.

I now have a plan of attack with everyone I meet with and I don't have to worry about being pushy. Using the forms and manual provided made the whole process easy and painless.  PT Business course provides all the health history, client agreement, and ready to launch marketing files I will ever need. I now have proven and reliable sales tactics at my fingertips.

There are marketing campaigns, e-marketing and persuasive selling and closing systems at my fingertips. My phone is ringing off the hook and I now have a competition free, recession proof training studio. Read the rest of Bedros Keuilian Scam Claims: Review Of His Business Building Products

As promised, here is the second part of the interview about Starting a Fitness Boot Camp Business with Fit Body Boot Camp owner Scott Wyatt from West Covina.

You can check the 1st part of the interview here.

Fernando:
Can you share with us what’s your process for converting promotional clients to ongoing full-paying clients? Like you said, you had a high success rate with the recent Groupon deal that you ran. Just briefly bring us through the process that you go through in converting them to full price clients.

Scott:
Well what we’ll do is when the clients first come in, we do the measurements and the BMI and the fat percentage, and obviously we record all of that andstarting a fitness boot camp business then welcome them to the boot camp, sort of like a little orientation, and then we just kind of let them go in there. We have two trainers so we introduce them to the trainers and everything. We’ll let them go in to a couple of weeks into it, and about half way through it then I’ll start going around and talking to everybody and asking them what do you think, how is this working for you, and let them know that hey next Saturday we’re having a free nutritional class, and we’ll invite everyone in on a Saturday afternoon for free nutritional information… trying to get more of a personal rapport with them… then I’ll start asking everybody hey in a week or so your time to weigh in is coming up. .. I would also like your opinion on how we’re doing and what you thought and what your experience was. And I get a real big response with that because everybody likes to give their opinion. Then when we sit down and I give them their measurements and they have gotten real good results, immediately I ask them... you’ve got great measurements, you’re doing awesome... how would you like to stay on and continue getting these great results. And we’re getting 25-30% conversation rates right now.

Starting a Boot Camp Business Checklist

I like lists. Lists keep me organized, they help me structure a game plan and they're just cool to make.

So I thought I'd put together a check list on starting a boot camp business. See most trainers who want to start a boot camp business spend too much time on the things that aren't as critical designing a logo, a website, a Facebook fan page, and which dumbbells to buy, ect... and way too little time on the things that are critical to your success.

See when you're starting a fitness boot camp business there are things that SCREAM and things that whisper. Things that scream are the important stuff that have the potential to take your business to massive success. Things that whisper are things that need to get done at some point, but aren't necessarily "big" movers in your business.

Without further ado, here's your Top SIX checklist for starting a boot camp business.

1. Identify your avatar and carve out a niche. Who's your ideal client. What's their gender, occupation, and age? What are their biggest fears, frustrations and desires and how can YOU be the solution?

The Easy “Non-Close” Close

Hey Steve here, and I've been getting a lot of questions about how to close people that come in on promos.

So I put up REALLY SHORT but POWERFUL post for ya'll on how to use one of my favorite secret closing weapons - The "Non-Close" Close.

It's simple really for two main reasons.

The first reason is you are giving them an irresistible offer.

And the second reason is because you are NOT requiring them to pay you NOW, which overcomes the dreaded "I'll have to talk to my spouse" objection.

So here's how it works.

When someone is on a promo, first get them emotional by finding their "pain" or their "hot buttons."

Next, offer them a "bribe" by telling them that if they sign up now, after the promo is over they can get half off their first month of boot camp.
