If you do not have a video on your fitness website then you may seriously be missing out on getting more clients.

Steve,
I bill all of my clients using authorize.net.

How do I ensure that when my employees take the client's credit card information that they do not steal it?

All of the transactions are done on a computer that isn't in the gymnastics facility that I'm renting. What is the best way to gather their credit card information on the spot and make sure that their privacy is protected?

Currently, we have the client write down their credit card information on the section where they approve us to bill their credit card monthly and then after inputting their information into authorize.net, I will use a black permanent marker to cover all but the last four digits of their credit card number. Is there a better way?

The “Gun To The Head” Method (Must, must, must read)

Posted by on September 30, 2010 at 10:27 am

Hey there... Before you read the "Gun To The Head" method, make sure you have one of these bad boys!

***********************************

Ok, so if you're a Fit Body Boot Camp owner or one of my coaching clients then you most likely know about my famous "Gun To The Head" method.

However, if you've never heard about it, then check out this story because my "Gun To The Head" method will CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

Enjoy 🙂

Once upon a time there was a new Fit Body Boot Camp owner named John Eckerman and his wife Cara.

But times weren't always so good...

Ya see John focused all his energy in opening his boot camp and Cara quit her job as a full time nanny to help.

They were a little nervous because money was very tight and they had a house mortgage  to pay for.

But they felt pretty confident because they literally knew EVERYONE in their town so things would explode in a week when they had their grand opening.

BUT THAT'S WHEN "IT" HAPPENED...

The facility that had agreed to rent space to them for their boot camp (which started in a week) backed out...

And that's when I got the infamous "we need to quit" phone call.

The call went like this, "Steve, the facility backed out, I "TRIED" to find a facility but I couldn't, my wife quite her job and now we wont be able to pay our mortgage, we're gonna lose our home, we need to quit, Quit, Quit!.... Quit I say!

Boot Camp Marketing – Outta The Box Style

Posted by on September 28, 2010 at 10:32 pm

So last Thursday I got a voice mail from Fit Body Boot Camp owner Michael Duivis needing some advice for a pretty outta-the-box fitness marketing opportunity.

He was given 20 minutes to give a presentation to over 70 local Real Estate Agents.

So he took advantage of one of the the perks of being a Fit Body Boot Camp owner, the unlimited access to myself and Bedros for coaching.

Boot Camp Call Script

Posted by on September 22, 2010 at 12:37 am

Warning: You may be leaving lots of money on the table (See below)

For some reason, a lot of the time "sales" gets left out of the boot camp marketing formula.

I'm not sure why...

I mean just about every trainer knows their needs to be a sales process when selling personal training, but when it comes to boot camp they think it happens by magic.

Well if you want your boot camps to BLOW UP, then you're gonna have to sell...

And in most cases, "closing the sale" starts over the phone.

Check out this video from one of my favorite movies "The Boiler Room"

Pretty awesome clip right?

But what's pretty shocking how many fitness professionals make is do difficult (and sometimes impossible) for prospects to call.

I admit a lot of prospects will pay or register online without ever talking to a human, however a lot of prospects WILL NOT.

Two Success Commandments I Learned From Frank Kern

Posted by on September 16, 2010 at 1:33 am

Hey Steve here and I just got back from an awesome weekend at the La Costa Resort in Carlsbad Ca with the Keuilian's.

We had such a blast playing on the giant water slide, eating delicious "healthy" food and kicking back on the hammocks.

We also ran into the famous meditation and philosophical expert Deepok Chopra.

He had one of those suped up BMW Alpinas so we asked him how he likes it.

That's when he said something really weird, he said, "It goes zero to sixty." and then he just walked away...

Weird huh, cuz ALL cars go zero to sixty.

Anyways, Bedros and I dropped the wives and kids off at the San Diego Zoo and stopped by internet marketing guru Andy Jenkin's house to preview the "Add To Cart" movie that he made.

Andy is also makes mainstream movies so it was really cool to hear his take on Bedros's movie.

One part of the movie in particular really stood out for me.

It was something internet marketing legend and super cool surfer dude Frank Kern said.

(This guy is the most successful and respected internet marketer on the planet and it didn't happen by accident)

So Frank said there are two rules to being successful and if you stick to these you will kick ass.

Frank Kern's Rule #1 is don't fuck off

... Now this may sound crude but it's actually pretty profound because A LOT of fitness professionals fuck off with out even knowing it.
