22 Things Trainers Should Never Do

Now, this "DON'T" list was inspired by REAL SH#T I've seen trainers do over the years.

Some of it get's pretty hairy, like #1, when a trainer got caught sleeping with a married women...

So here we go...

1. Do NOT have sex with clients who are married - Once this dude with a hill billy beard came into my studio and held up a picture of his wife and family, pointed at a trainer and started yelling HOME-WRECKER!

Turns out the trainer was getting a little "extra cardio" in with the dudes wife - And to  make matters worse, the trainer yells, "Maybe if you treated her better she wouldn't have cheated on you.

2. Don't be a FAT trainer - You know who you are...

Look, I'm not trying to offend you but man, their is nothing worse than not knowing who is the trainer and who is the client.

Lead by example, take responsibility, take control, and GET IN SHAPE!

3. Don't be a late trainer - Once in a great while, maybe, but when trainers are constantly late, especially at 5:30am, it sucks for the client and makes the trainer look super unprofessional.

It's your business, pay it respect and it pay you back.

4. Don't look mean on your website - People are already intimidated about hiring a trainer, I can't believe how many trainer go outta their way to look as mean and intimidating as possible on their websites.

5. Don't train clients with bed-head - Seriously, I don't even know what to say about this... Wear a hat or something...

6. Don't act tired - When I see trainers yawning and looking tired I KNOW they are 9 times outta 10 broke as a joke.

7. Don't tell your clients that you can't wait until you are done training for the day - I never understood why trainers would do this.

8. Don't turn your back on your clients - I've seen trainers turn their back on 24 clients for 5 minutes just to talk to one client - Not a good idea.

9. Don't have yellow teeth - I've you're a decent trainer and have yellow teeth, I can practically guarantee that if you whiten them you'll get more referrals - I'm just saying.

10. Don't wear your fat clothes - If you've lost a bunch of weight, congrats, NOW BUY SOME CLOTHES THAT FIT.

New “Out Of The Box” Boot Camp Marketing Promo

Here's a fitness boot camp marketing promo that's perfect for BIG thinkers and massive action takers.

It's called the 1000 Pound Challenge!

The Goal To get 100 new boot camp members in 45 days.

How it works – Through various sources, you are to get 150 to 200 people into your boot camp for free for 30 days in an effort to drop 1000 lbs off local residence over 30 days.

When people come in to participate, set them up for a nutritional consultation and close them by offering to give them half off their first month if they sign up today.

Assure them that there is no risk and that if during the 30 days of the 1000 LB Meltdown Challenge, should they choose not to continue, they will not be charged.

Also encourage them by letting them know that if they refer a friend who signs up, then their first month after the 30 day challenge will be completely free.

This whole process of getting participants should take no longer than 7-10 days.

First, get in your local newspaper.

Next, get employees of local businesses to participate by letting them know about the 30 day challenge.

Now email your list of prospect to tell them about the 30 day challenge.

Now obviously this is a FREE promo so you may or may not choose to send this it your email list.

However, free or not, the goal is to sign up as many as possible onto a full priced auto debit contract using the closing strategy.

Post about it on all of your friend’s Facebook walls.

Private message your Facebook friends about it.

Private your boot camp client’s Facebook friends who live locally.

Of course be sure that everyone you message is over 20 years old and lives locally.

You can also walk around and get participants.

Now, this way is very effective however, but of course, it involves getting out of your comfort zone.

It’s pretty easy.  You go to high traffic areas (like food courts, malls etc) around your boot camp with the newspaper article about the 1000 Pound Meltdown and approach people to see if they want to participate.

And finally, CLOSE them how I mentioned above.

If your close rate is 50 percent (because these are less than normally qualified prospects) then you need to get 200 participants to get 100 new clients...

If your space is limited then you may have to go for less.

Like I said, this boot camp marketing promo is for BIG thinkers and MASSIVE action takers.

So enjoy!

Two Ways Trainers Fail (And 71 Tips To Massive Success)

We just finished putting on the Fit Body Boot Camp World Conference and now I'm writing this to you from the Fitness Business Summit in beautiful Newport Ca.

My bff Bedros is putting on BY FAR the most cutting edge, revolutionary and FUN event of the decade.

The POSITIVE ENERGY here is off the heezeey!

One of the COOLEST parts is that I get to meet and talk to so many of my blog readers and hear their stories.

In fact, yesterday and today I have been pretty blown away from the dozens of people that have come up to me and said that there was "one little thing" I said that made them NOT GIVE UP, and keep pushing forward, and now their business is KILLING it.

Some of these people told me that they had to park their car a mile away from their home because they were afraid it would get repossessed.

Yet now, they are living the life of their dreams.

And THAT is EXACTLY WHY I had to crack open my lap top and tell you this.

There are only 2 ways to FAIL!

1. Is to NOT try, or procrastinate.

For example, let's say you wait and wait and wait to to something until you feel that you can do it perfectly, or if you don't try because you think you aren't good enough, worthy enough or are JUST PLAIN SCARED.

2.  Is if you quit.

If you quit, then you instantly fail.  Plain and simple.

All these guys who I spoke to who are doing amazing now never quit, and they just kept putting one foot in front of the other, taking little "baby steps" until they MADE IT.

Now, I'm gonna tell ya one hell-of-a CRAZY storyeeeeee

But first, I'm gonna tell you something kinda embarrassing, but it's the TRUTH.

And to be honest, I don't think I'd be who I am today if I didn't go through it.

You see, up until I was 23, I had the hardest time making friends, had no business or job, low self esteem, homeless... Basically, I was down and out BIG TIME.

But the strange thing was that I had moments of VICTORY... Moments of UNSTOPPABLE SUCCESS.

Like when I set a goal to get an athletic scholarship to the #1 ranked school in the nation... AND I FRIGGIN DID IT - Even though 99% of the people around me told me I was crazy, I was dreaming too big... I DID IT.

eee Or when I set a goal to bench press 475 lbs... I freaking did it.
(I don't do anything even close to that know :-D)

But I also had huge failures, like losing my athletic scholarship... And not being respected by my peers... (I didn't deserve it at the time)

But all that changed when I stumbled upon m first mentor.

He was a 50 year old crazy Vietnam vet turned successful multiple business owner named Travis Mayfield. This guy is one of the scariest, and most honest and cool dudes you'll ever meet.

His nickname is 3-Dog cuz he got 2 of his fingers blown off in a boobie trap... Then after killing up a bunch of VC for some payback, he was evacuated in a chopper... Then the chopper was blown outta the sky by an RPG (rocket propelled grenade). A bunch of shrapnel got blasted into his eyes and when he finally fought his way back to the base, he was blind for 6 months.

A couple of years ago, he had a heart attack and was back to work the next day! (who does that?!)

Not only that, for the last 10 years, he calls me at 2:30am EVERY MORNING to leave me a motivational pump up message.

I've even seen him workout with broken ribs. (I told you he's one crazy dude)
